How to start

Open a terminal in this folder, then:
  python3 sovereign_ledger.py import <file.csv>                  # load transactions
  python3 sovereign_ledger.py list [search]                      # view entries + running balance
  python3 sovereign_ledger.py add DATE DESC CAT DEBIT CREDIT     # add one entry
  python3 sovereign_ledger.py delete <id>                        # remove an entry
  python3 sovereign_ledger.py export <file.csv>                  # save your data out
  python3 sovereign_ledger.py report                             # open an offline HTML statement

Where your data lives

A single local file in your home folder (~/.sovereign_ledger). Back it up by copying it. That's it.
